COVID UPDATE - 21.10.20

 

Following the latest announcements from Government placing Merseyside, Lancashire & Greater Manchester into the Tier Three level of restrictions, we have had to make the disappointing decision  to temporarily postpone our Day Excursions and Holidays that were due to depart up to an including 31st October 2020.

 

Since July 13th we have successfully operated over 60 Covid Safe departures and were delighted to be awarded the Visit England ‘Good to Go’ accreditation, unfortunately the new advice brought in  regarding travel and overnight stays has brought us to this decision.

 

We are however still ready and raring and will be ‘Good to Go’ in a Covid Safe manner once restrictions are lifted and will be monitoring the Government advice regularly.

 

As with the full lockdown earlier in the year our Head Office at Baxters Lane will remain open and if you are due to travel with us in the next few weeks a member of staff will be in touch by telephone over the next few days to discuss the options going forward. We will be dealing with all customers in date order, so please bear with us as we work our way through the departures. Further updates regarding November departures will follow, at present we will only be dealing with October Holidays and Excursions and would ask for your patience and understanding as we deal with an ever changing environment.

 

2020 has been a very challenging year for everyone and we would like thank our customers for their continued support and kind words, stay safe everyone and we look forward to welcoming you back on board very soon.

 

And just a little note to say that our 2021 Brochure is due out at the end of next week, with lots of new holidays and all your favourites are in there too - we all need something to look forward to, so make sure you get your bookings in

 

09/09/2020 - Update

 

Hello to one and all we trust you are all keeping safe and well. We thought we should update you regarding the latest update from the Government.

 

We would like to reassure you all that our Holidays and Day Excursions are not affected and will continue to operate as planned. Our Holidays re-started in July and we are delighted to say we have had over 25 successful departures. To enable us to re-start measures were put in place to ensure we operated in a Covid Safe way – measures such as, installing sanitisers on the coaches, adapting new Socially Distanced Seating plans, temperature checks and the wearing of face coverings whilst on board the vehicles.

 

We are also only using Hotels and Visitor Attractions who have full Risk Assessments and Covid Safe procedures in place.

 

So please rest assured you can still go on holiday or a day excursion with us, your safety and well being has always been our main priority and will continue to be so.

24/06/2020 - Update - The One We've Been Waiting For

 

Following the Government Update Yesterday (23 June) we are delighted to be able to annouce that we can now start planning for our Holidays & Day Excursions to re start - how very exciting.

 

There is plenty for us to do and plan behind the scenes to get ready for our re-start and rest assured everything will be done with our staff and customers safety at the forefront of our planning. We will therefore be offering a limited number of departures in July and will be monitoring the August Departures over the next few days / weeks.

 

The Holidays that will be operating in July are :

 

West Looe & Doc Martins Cornwall - 13th July

Falmouth - The Jewel of the Cornish Riviera - 19th July

Eastbourne, South Downs & Historic Towns - 20th July 

Wonderful Windsor Castle & Cruises - 26th July

Lytham St. Annes & Lovely Lancashire - 27th July

Downton Abbey, Oxford & Winchester - 31st July.

 

If you are booked on one these Holidays a member of staff will be in touch in the next day or two to go through all of the details with you.

 

If you are booked on any other holiday in July we regret to inform you that this will now be cancelled. A letter will be posted today for you detailing your options and this will be followed up with a telephone call from our office. Please bear with us we are extremely busy and will be dealing with everything in date order.

 

We are now actively taking bookings for the holidays above and from August onwards so feel free to get ready to plan your next holiday or breakaway.

 

If the balance is now due on your holiday we will from today be reverting back to our Standard Trading Charter & Booking Conditions which can be found on this website and printed in our Holiday Brochure.

 

For those who are awaiting refunds for their cancelled holidays pleased be assured that these are dealt with in date order and on a daily basis by our Accounts Department and we are pleased to say that we are getting through them swiftly and orderly - thank you for your patience and understanding.

Following the Governments Update on Sunday May 10th it is now necessary to postpone all of our Coach Holidays with departure dates up to and including June 30th.

 

Letters are in the process of being sent to all our affected customers either by email or post, the letter will advise you that your holiday is not going ahead and a member of staff will be in touch by phone. With regards to payments made to us for the postponed holiday, these will be held for you in the form of a credit note to be used on an alternative holiday in either 2020 or 2021. Please note all payments are financially protected by our Government approved Bond provided by BCH - Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme, you can find more information here - http://www.bch-uk.org/

 

We understand this may be a frustrating time for you, as it is for us, but be assured we will be in contact with you shortly. Whilst waiting to hear from us, you may want to check the website and see if there is an alternative Holiday that you would like to transfer to to make the process quicker when we do contact you. Holidays are currently on sale until 30 December 2020, we are also working to get many of the postponed holidays dates for 2021 on the website, so just keep checking as these may start to appear over the following days and weeks. What to Do If Your Holiday Balance is Due

If you are unsure what to do about paying your holiday balance that is due, we are amending our Balance Due Date to 4 weeks before departure to give our customers that extra flexibility during this unprecedented time

Covid 19 - Statement - 24/03/2020

 

To all our loyal and valued Customers,

 

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak all of our holidays have been postponed up to and including April 30th

 

We were hoping to contact all of our travelling passengers by telephone and have been working through holidays in departure date order, unfortunately following the announcement by the Government on Monday March 23 we will now be sending out letters. Our booking office is having to work on a skeleton staff and they simply can not deal with the amount of telephone calls that would need to be made before your holiday was due to depart.

 

The letter will simply advise you that the holiday is not going ahead and a member of staff will be in touch by phone. With regards to payments made to us for the postponed holiday, these will be held for you in the form of a credit voucher to be used on an alternative holiday in either 2020 or 2021. Covid 19 - Statement - 17/03/2020

 

As a result of yesterday's briefing by the PM, from today we have postponed all of our holidays schedulded to depart between now and Sunday April 26th.

 

In the meantime, we will be issuing credits to clients affected by these postponements whilst we work on re-cheduling your holiday. These credits are covered by our BCH Bond

 

We will advise you of the new date as soon as we are able to.

 

This fluid situation evolves on an hourly basis and as such we are waiting for a Government Statement regarding business support and a statement from our governing body - BCH

 

Once we have recevied this information, we will be able to update you further.

 

In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and understanding and please be kind to our staff they are working very hard under extremeley difficult circumstances.
